Privacy Policy.

Effective date: 11 June 2026

Gloo Education respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It applies to everyone who uses our website, works with us, or gets in touch. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are

Gloo Education is a teacher recruitment and retention service based in Queensland. We match teachers to schools across Australia and support both sides through the placement and beyond. If you have any questions about your privacy, you can reach us at hello@glooeducation.com.au.

What we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

  • From teachers, we may collect your name, contact details, CV, qualifications, working rights, employment history, references, and the kind of roles and locations you are looking for. Because we match on more than a resume, we may also collect details about your interests, what you enjoy outside the classroom, your career goals, and what matters to you in a school and a community. This helps us find the right fit, not just any fit.

  • From school staff, we may collect your name, role, contact details, and information about the positions you are trying to fill.

  • From website visitors, we collect basic analytics such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors are located. Some of this involves cookies. More on that below.

We only collect what we need to do our job well. If you choose not to give us certain information, we may not be able to match you to a role or a candidate.

How we collect it

We collect most information directly from you, through our website forms, by email, or over the phone. We may also collect information automatically when you browse our site, and occasionally from third parties such as referees you have nominated.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use your personal information to:

  • match teachers to suitable roles and schools to suitable candidates

  • provide support after a placement, including our post-placement support

  • communicate with you and keep our community connected

  • respond to your enquiries

  • improve our service and website

We will not use your information for something unrelated without telling you first.

Who we share it with

  • We share your information only where it helps us do what you have asked, or where the law requires it.

  • We share a teacher's details with a school only with that teacher's consent. We do not pass your information around without your say so.

  • We use trusted third-party service providers to run our business, such as our website host, our email and document tools, and our recruitment software. We use Bullhorn as our customer relationship management (CRM) and applicant tracking system (ATS), which is where we store and manage teacher and school information. These providers only handle your information to provide their service to us.

  • We may disclose information if we are required to by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

  • We do not sell your personal information.

Storing your information overseas

Our website is hosted through Squarespace, and we use Google Workspace for our email and business tools. Both store and process data in the United States. We also use Bullhorn as our recruitment software, which may store and process data overseas depending on the data centre region that applies to our account. This means your personal information may be stored or processed overseas, including in the United States. When your information is handled overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we keep it safe and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. This includes using reputable providers with their own security measures, and limiting who can access your information to those who need it. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies to help it work properly and to understand how visitors use it. We use Squarespace's built-in analytics for this. We may also use third-party analytics tools from time to time. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. If you turn cookies off, some parts of our website may not work as well.

Accessing or correcting your information

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Just email us at hello@glooeducation.com.au and we will help. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Making a complaint

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first so we can put it right. Email us at hello@glooeducation.com.au and we will look into it and get back to you. If you are not happy with how we have handled your complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will do our best to let you know.
